PVG Contract

The Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme was introduced on 28^th February 2011 . LAYC will  now be required to have a “Contract” with groups who want us to carry out PVG scheme membership applications on their behalf via the Central Registered Body in Scotland and /or Disclosure Scotland.

Groups wishing to  take this route should complete the contract now and return it to LAYC.

Unheralded problems with practical aspects of the operation of the scheme are still suddenly emerging  and causing delays however and LAYC has had to ask questions of  Disclosure Scotland on a number of occassions recently.

On the positive side of things however it would appear that Disclosure Scotland have now managed to get their computer system working properly by the beginning of  June and “proper” PVG certificates with scheme membership numbers are now being issued.
