Car parking:
Limited car parking is available to those visiting LAYC staff during office hours in Boroughloch Square (adjacent to the office). The square is regularly monitored by a car parking company who will issue tickets and fines to those not displaying an authorised car parking pass for the square.
Contact the office to reserve a car pass, park up in the square and come round for the pass to place on the windscreen. The square can be busy so please note we cannot guarantee a car space.
Car passes are not available to those who are attending a non LAYC event in the office.
For those with a disabled badge or are dropping off or collecting a single yellow line exist outside the office.
For those attending LAYC training outwith weekday office hours (after 5pm and at week ends) car parking restrictions do not apply.
Nearest street parking (metered payment) is located at Gifford Park and Buccleuch Place (both off Buccleuch Street) with payments currently £2 per hour up to a maximum of 4 hours. Cheaper and longer stay spaces are located beyond Melville Drive (other side of The Meadows).
Bus Routes:
A number of Lothian Transport buses run along Buccleuch Street (Buses no 40,41,42,46) whilst a greater number come up Clerk Street from the city centre (including Buses no 3, 5, 7,14, 31, 49, 69 etc). Get off around the old/closed Odeon cinema and walk down Gifford Park and cross Buccleuch Street to the top of Boroughloch (Lane).
