Training Scheme
The LAYC Training Scheme has been setup to:
- Recognise the commitment of many youth and childrens workers to training
- Encourage the use of skills and knowledge from our courses
- Keep records of participants achievements and completed courses
- Give participants something they can use to prove their involvement in training
As you complete courses you will move through the following levels:
- Bronze – you will have completed 2 courses from any of the sections
- Silver – you will have completed 4 courses with at least one of the courses from two different sections
- Gold – you will have completed 6 courses with at least one of the courses from each of the three sections
- Platinum – you will have completed 8 courses with at least two courses at a more advanced level
Here’s the summary of how the LAYC Training Scheme works…
- You book onto a course either online or over the phone
- We’ll send you an email to confirm your place on the course
- You attend the course – make sure you sign in & check we have your correct email address
- We send you an invoice for attending the course (or if you have failed to attend without giving LAYC prior warning)
- You complete the online follow up activities for your course
- We check what you send in and (assuming it’s okay and your invoice has been paid) send you your course certificate
- If you’ve completed enough courses for either the Bronze, Silver or Gold level we’ll send you that certificate as well
